E-Commerce Platform
Full storefront platform: catalog, cart, checkout, rentals, warehouse inventory, staff booking — the base every other project forks from.
full-stack developer
I design and build production web platforms end to end — database, backend, frontend, and the infrastructure they run on. Storefronts, marketplaces, booking systems, internal dashboards. If it needs to work and keep working, I build it.
01 — about
I'm Luca, a full-stack engineer with 5+ years shipping production software — enterprise systems by day, my own platforms by night. Day to day that means cloud-native microservices and APIs; on the side it means designing the data model, building the interface, containerizing it, and wiring up a deploy pipeline that updates itself.
I've built systems that reached 70,000+ monthly users, streamlined a core backend workflow by 30%, and shipped enterprise case-management platforms for public- and private-sector clients. Before that: IoT and home-automation systems end to end, from ESP32 firmware to the backend.
Outside of client work I run three of my own production platforms — e-commerce, a marketplace, a booking system — and the monitoring stack that watches all of them, from a single always-on machine, at effectively zero hosting cost.

02 — experience
Enterprise and startup, full stack, top to bottom.
Cloud-native microservices (Java Quarkus, Node.js, FastAPI) for policy and case management, plus AI-assisted workflows that cut processing time by 30%. AWS Lambda, CI/CD, Elasticsearch/Kibana for observability.
Enterprise platforms across Angular, .NET and Java Spring Boot — including a large-scale case-management system for a public-sector client, serving 70,000+ monthly users.
Smart-home systems end to end: ESP32/Arduino firmware, HomeKit & Matter integration, Java Spring Boot backends, React frontends.
03 — side projects
Outside client work — designed, built and still running, end to end. This is the closest thing to a live demo of what I'd build for you.
Full storefront platform: catalog, cart, checkout, rentals, warehouse inventory, staff booking — the base every other project forks from.
Classifieds marketplace in the spirit of Craigslist/Subito — listings, buyer-seller chat, paid promotions, buyer protection on shipped orders.
bazzarr.scagliotti.dev ↗Storefront + staff scheduling for a real hair salon in Rome — services, working hours, appointment confirmations by email.
The control room for everything above: live CPU/RAM, container health, uptime history, one-click restarts, a killswitch per environment.
ops.scagliotti.dev ↗A one-tap iOS puzzle game — ants eating away pixel-art scenes, 500 hand-checked levels. Built with Swift and SpriteKit.
04 — stack
Not tied to one framework — but this is what I trust for production work.
05 — pricing
Roughly. Every project gets a fixed-scope quote before any work starts — this is here so you know which conversation to start.

06 — let's build something
I take on a limited number of projects: storefronts, booking platforms, marketplaces, internal tools — anything that needs a real backend behind it, not just a landing page.
Tell me what you're building below. I reply personally, usually within a day.
